XP Big Trick and Small Tips

Windows XP has many hidden tricks and Tips are used by so many people. Small tips also hack the whole operating systems. Well now we ENTER into Small tips about Windows Operating system, After installed Windows XP on perticular driver/ partition that has System and User/Administrator files. Most probably on windows system files are sytem hidden attributes it can only view if you checked Show system hidden files option on folder option Note: command line for System hidden: attrib +s +h +r filename.extention.
If we are installed frist time on New hard Disk Windows will create new MBR record on primary partition. Whenever you power on the PC/Laptop CMOS battery turned ON and MBR table are loaded, MBR table are reads on windows XP boot.ini and ntldr.sys files from OS installed Partition.

These two files very very important booting Operating system, if you remove any one file on this drive OS not boot properly. How can i recover these type of (i.e: ntldr/boot.ini missing)boot error? The best answer is just you make one bootable cd with boot.ini file and ntldr file. at this time suddely coming next question is how create bootable CD/USB flash drive?

• First download iso bootable cd/usb maker software from internet
• add some of system files on XP installed partition
• Now you can boot from cd/usb flash

at booting time u just enter into recovery console windows, now you can copy ntldr and boot.ini files from cd/usb flash to os installed drive.Note the command for copy files on recovery console: xcopy x:/file.sys o:/ntldr.sys

xcopy x:/file.ini o:/boot.ini

x - cd/usb flash drive and o - OS installed directory

xp trick for Another one method for recovery boot.ini files create your own way on recovery console windows is

copy con multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect > boot.ini

above commands are typed on cmd recovery windows it will create boot.ini file on system drive.

XP tips:

• To prevent Windows XP from virus just use explorer.
• i.e: Windows Key+E and then use leftside tree panel.
• Don't open drive using double click
• Because Most of the virus programs are written spread when open the drive.
• Explorer and open are not same for windows XP

XP tricks:

• Weekly/monthly once defragment all drrives on you Hard Disk
• Use gpedit and msconfig to change settings for quickly boot
• Use CACLS to set special permissions for all files in XP
